EFFECTIVE TEAM BUILDING
AN ENGAGING CORPORATE EVENT
Teams must build a traditional trebuchet that is capable of hurling rocks at the castle. There will be a final shoot out to conclude the event when the teams will compete against each other.
For team building, this develops communication skills concentration and teamwork.
Archery training and practice at "The Butts". All archers use replica long bows.
It was common practice in Medieval England for the people to practice archery every Sunday to keep their skills up. Nearly all medieval towns in England had archery butts, where people could practice their archery skills. Many towns still have Butts Road or Butts Lane or simply the Butts, keeping alive this link with the past.
An ideal way for delegates to unwind during or after a conference.
Each player will mount their noble charger and prove their skill in the List against the quintain and the rings.
The quintain and "running at the ring" was used by the knights to practice their skills with a lance. By practicing often the knights developed considerable accuracy. Jousts were a way for knights to demonstrate their skills and to compete with each other for the entertainment of the local Lords and their villagers.
Each team member tries to pull the reluctant boar to the kitchen.
The idea on this activity is to pull the "Reluctant Boar" as far as you can towards the kitchen. team members will get 3 attempts and the best pull from each will be recorded. The total of the scores will be the team's score.
One team will be the "French" at this famous battle and be shot at by the "English" archers of Henry V. Of course the "French" will have shields to protect them. The teams then exchange positions, your time to get your own back on the "French".
The road to knighthood is long and difficult - from page to squire and finally to knight.
The full medieval day includes all of the activities and for the conclusion of the day, each team must select their "champion". The champions from each camp will armour up, mount up and compete in a joust off, the best of 3 runs each. The Knight of the Day will be the one with the most strikes.
